A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Part 2 of Article 6 of Chapter 7 of Title 17 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to insanity and mental incompetency in criminal proceedings, so as to provide for consideration of the victim's impact statement in a commitment hearing proceeding following a plea of insanity or mental incompetency at the time of the crime; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
