A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 34 of Chapter 1 of Title 10 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to identity theft, so as to provide that it shall be illegal for the state or its political subdivisions to require the use of an individual's social security number or any portion thereof or date of birth or any portion thereof as a username or user identification or component of a username or user identification for access to computers, computer networks, software, web pages, and similar electronic files; to provide for punishment for violations; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
