A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 9 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to civil practice, so as to mandate mediation in all professional malpractice civil actions; to provide for a short title; to provide for guidelines, time frames, and other issues related to mediation; to provide for an offer of judgment; to provide for matters relating to an offer of judgment, including time limitations, methods of service, withdrawal and acceptance of offers, admissibility of an offer, and court costs; to provide for a definition; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
