A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 11 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to emergency medical services, so as to provide for the transfer of certification and recertification responsibilities for paramedics and cardiac technicians to the Department of Human Resources from the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners; to provide that the department may establish rules and regulations for ambulance attendants and for the certification and recertification of emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and cardiac technicians and provide for training courses relating thereto; to create the Georgia Emergency Medical Services Medical Directors Advisory Council and provide for its composition, duties, and powers; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
