A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 23 of Title 33 of the O.C.G.A., relating to licensing of agents, agencies, subagents, counselors, and adjusters, so as to provide definitions; to provide for licenses for resident and nonresident insurance agents, subagents, surplus lines brokers, counselors, and adjusters; to specify the circumstances under which such persons may be licensed; to repeal Code Section 33-5-22 of the O.C.G.A., relating to the licensing of surplus line brokers generally; to amend Chapter 11 of Title 33 of the O.C.G.A., relating to investments, so as to provide for issuance, renewal, suspension, revocation, and refusal of licenses for individuals selling variable annuities and variable life insurance; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
