Multi-lane highways; requirements when emergency vehicles stopped

A BILL to amend Code Section 40-6-40 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to requirement that vehicles drive on right side of roadway, so as to provide that upon any roadway having two or more lanes for traffic moving in the same direction, the driver of a vehicle approaching a law enforcement or emergency vehicle with its flashing or revolving lights activated and stopped on the side of the roadway adjacent to the two lanes of traffic shall, whenever possible and without disobeying a police officer, drive in a lane other than the lane nearest the law enforcement or emergency vehicle; and for other purposes.
