Senator Thompson of the 33rd offered the following amendment:

Amend the committee substitute to SB 57 by adding a new subsection (4) and renumbering the remaining sections accordingly to read as follows: Not withstanding any other provision of law, any person who purchases or is otherwise assigned a sub prime home loan shall be subject to all affirmative claims and any defenses with respect to the loan that the borrower could assert against the original creditor or creditors of the loans.
