RESOLUTION
Commending
the Reese Road Parent Teacher Association; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Reese Road Parent Teacher Association is widely recognized throughout the
sate as the embodiment of excellence in its commitment to quality education;
and
WHEREAS,
these highly respected teachers and parents in the Columbus school system have
served with honor and distinction as professional educators and supporters of
education and believe that their role is to act as instruments of inspiration
and enthusiasm to their pupils and children and to create a positive learning
environment through the encouragement of competitive instincts in their students
and children; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of its outstanding dedication to academic achievement, the
organization was named as only one of three grant recipients in Georgia for
"Take Your Family to School Week" by the National Parent Teacher Association;
and
WHEREAS,
each one of the members of this stellar group stands as a shining example of the
important impact that the efforts of classroom teachers and parents are making
on the quality of education received by the children of this state and it is
abundantly fitting and proper that their superlative accomplishments be
recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
and gratefully commend the Reese Road Parent Teacher Association for its
sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education
in Georgia and for the positive influence it has had upon the lives and futures
of so many young people in this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Reese Road Parent
Teacher Association.
