RESOLUTION
Commending
Jeff Rowell; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
The Townelaker
magazine each month recognizes a local
person that exemplifies the qualities of a pathfinder, or someone that is
leading the way, trying to make the community the best it can be;
and
WHEREAS,
Jeff Rowell was recognized by
The Townelaker
magazine as Pathfinder of the Month for
December 2006 and was nominated for Pathfinder of the Year for 2007;
and
WHEREAS,
Jeff Rowell enriches the lives of the young people of this state each day as a
football coach for the Etowah Junior Eagles program; and
WHEREAS,
he believes in teaching his players the rewards of hard work and life rules, as
well as the rules of football; and
WHEREAS,
he is a mentor to his players and a role model for citizens of all ages;
and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that a person of Coach Rowell's character
and community spirit be recognized by this body.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
and congratulate Jeff Rowell on being recognized by
The Townelaker
magazine as Pathfinder of the Month for
December 2006 and as a nominee for Pathfinder of the Year for 2007 and express
to him their appreciation for his selfless contributions to his community and
this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Jeff Rowell.
