RESOLUTION
Commending
Nicholas Collar; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Nicholas Collar of Troop 641 has attained the rank of Eagle Scout;
and
WHEREAS,
Nicholas Collar, age 17, continues to demonstrate his aptitude and competency in
mastering the various special skills taught through the Boy Scout program;
and
WHEREAS,
every Eagle Scout candidate must complete a community service project before
achieving that rank, and Nicholas finished the inside of a building for Our
Pal's Place, a shelter for dogs, to provide space to quarantine dogs to prevent
the spread of disease to other dogs in order to get them well and ready for
adoption; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding young man has truly exhibited a commitment to the scouting
principles of honesty and fairness and has consistently conducted himself in a
manner becoming an Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS,
in a world which consistently seems to accentuate the negative aspects of the
actions of young people, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to
recognize with particularity the outstanding accomplishments of this
extraordinary individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Nicholas Collar for his diligence and dedication in pursuing the highest honor
awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and his continued dedication to the
scouting program.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Nicholas Collar.
