RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Liliana McDaniel; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Liliana McDaniel is an inspiration to her fellow staff, exemplifying a
combination of managerial finesse, sensitive customer service, and a level of
candor rarely found in today's competitive workplace; and
WHEREAS,
Liliana McDaniel was awarded with the James D. Yancey Customer Covenant Award by
the Synovus Financial Corporation at its 2007 Chairman's Awards;
and
WHEREAS,
Synovus Financial Corporation is a diversified financial services company based
in Columbus with more than $30 billion in assets; and
WHEREAS,
the Chairman's Award recipients are chosen from nominations submitted by team
members throughout the company's five state banking network, and each award
honoree receives a $1,000 cash award, while a $1,000 donation is made to the
Jack Parker Scholarship Foundation; and
WHEREAS,
Liliana McDaniel was recognized for her shining example of delivering excellent
internal customer service that parallels the company's expectations on meeting
the needs of external customers; and
WHEREAS,
the Customer Covenant Award is named in honor of former Synovus Chairman Jimmy
Yancy, who led the effort to codify the company's commitment to customers;
and
WHEREAS,
Liliana McDaniel has earned the esteem of her colleagues and has brought honor
to her family, community, and the State of Georgia.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
Liliana McDaniel for her outstanding leadership and congratulate her on being
awarded the James D. Yancey Customer Covenant Award.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Liliana McDaniel.
