RESOLUTION
Commending
the Peachtree Ridge High School varsity competition cheerleaders; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the varsity competition cheerleaders of Peachtree Ridge High School have served
with distinction during the 2006 sports season as peerless and incomparable
representatives of their student body and community; and
WHEREAS,
these outstanding cheerleaders are renowned for the jubilant, exciting, and
exemplary manner in which they instill school spirit in members of the sports
teams and spectators and for the highly entertaining competition routines;
and
WHEREAS,
it is widely recognized throughout their community that the "Blue Pride" played
an integral part in generating and maintaining an atmosphere of excitement and
support for Peachtree Ridge High School and their skill has resulted in their
being named Class AAAAA State Champions for 2005 and 2006; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly proper that the matchless performances which have been rendered
by the members of the squad be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the varsity competition cheerleaders of Peachtree Ridge High School for the
remarkable service which they have performed and for the joy and outstanding
entertainment which they have provided to countless thousands of Georgians
throughout the state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Rob Spencer, coach of
the Peachtree Ridge High School varsity competition cheerleaders.
