RESOLUTION
Commending
Paul Conroy; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Paul Conroy is a corporal with the city of Avondale Estates police department;
and
WHEREAS,
Corporal Conroy is the city police department´s training officer and is
responsible for coordinating the various crime awareness and training seminars
in the city; and
WHEREAS,
he formerly served in law enforcement with the Fulton County sheriff´s
department reserves, where he attained the rank of major; and
WHEREAS,
in December, 2004, he entered law enforcement full time with the city of
Avondale Estates police department as uniform officer, and he has since attained
the rank of corporal; and
WHEREAS,
he was honored as the city´s "Officer of the Year" for 2007 and was twice
named "Officer of the Quarter" in that same year; and
WHEREAS,
it is only fitting and proper that he be recognized by this body.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Paul Conroy his many years of distinguished public service to his community and
this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Paul Conroy.
