RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and honoring the Rotary Corporation; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Rotary Corporation observed its 50th year of business in 2007;
and
WHEREAS,
in 1966, Mr. Bill Nelson purchased the parts company from Mr. J.D. Harvey;
and
WHEREAS,
during its 50 years of doing business, the company, under the leadership of Mr.
Bill Nelson, purchased seven different parts manufacturers; and
WHEREAS,
they now have warehouses and offices in five states and ship products daily all
over the world; and
WHEREAS,
the Rotary Corporation produced its 150 millionth lawn mower blade in 2007;
and
WHEREAS,
today, the Rotary Corporation is one of the few aftermarket parts suppliers that
is family owned; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Ed Nelson took over the business in 1999, and his entrepreneurial spirit and
mechanical mind has caused the corporation to continue its record
growth.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join
together in recognizing the Rotary Corporation and commend it for the
outstanding service it provides to its community and this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Ed Nelson.
