A RESOLUTION


Commending Lillie Childs; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Lillie Childs has long been recognized by the citizens of Columbus for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced dramatically by her many years of superlative service as a member of Winterfield on the Move Against Drugs, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, she is a community leader who personifies the Winterfield vision of "Saving One Youth At A Time" and is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, as the Winterfield organization rallies citizens for the annual March Against Drugs, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Lillie Childs for her many years of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Lillie Childs.
