RESOLUTION
Commending
Patricia Russell-McCloud; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Patricia Russell-McCloud has long been recognized by the citizens of this state
and her community for the vital role that she has played in leadership;
and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as
evidenced dramatically by her more than 20 years of experience on the lecture
circuit, speaking to over 200,000 people per year; and
WHEREAS,
she encourages her audiences to overcome every obstacle that stands between them
and what could be possible; and
WHEREAS,
her client list reads like Who's Who roster of corporate America, including such
clients as AARP, the United States Postal Service, McDonald's, Xerox, Proctor
and Gamble, General Motors, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and many others;
and
WHEREAS,
a member of the Council on Legal Education Opportunity, she studied at Harvard
University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and earned a Juris Doctorate degree at
Howard University School of Law in Washington, D. C.; and
WHEREAS,
prior to embarking on a speaking career, she was an attorney for the Federal
Communications Commission in Washington, D. C.; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately
recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Patricia Russell-McCloud for her dedication as a community leader and as a motivational speaker and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
