A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending the many valuable contributions of the Conditioned Air Association of Georgia (CAAG) and declaring February 28, 2008, CAAG Day at the Capitol; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, founded in 1980, CAAG is a state-wide, nonprofit trade association which represents heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration contractors (HVACR) who work on residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects in the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, CAAG has over 900 members in 23 local chapters, and the membership is composed of a great diversity in sizes of member firms, ranging from large mechanical contractors to small family owned businesses; and

WHEREAS, CAAG represents the professionals in the industry who have a genuine interest in improving the industry for both the customer and the contractor; and

WHEREAS, CAAG's goal is to promote quality and professionalism in the HVACR industry in the state and to demonstrate a genuine concern for the satisfaction of our customers by providing quality service; and

WHEREAS, CAAG members actively participate in the development of the international model codes for energy conservation, indoor air quality, and other health and life safety issues; and

WHEREAS, CAAG provides educational opportunities to keep members fully informed on industry issues; and

WHEREAS, CAAG will be visiting the capitol building on February 28, 2008, to share valuable insights and industry expertise with members of the General Assembly.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in recognizing the many contributions of the Conditioned Air Association of Georgia and declare February 28, 2008, as CAAG Day at the Capitol.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Conditioned Air Association of Georgia.
