A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT


To amend Part 13 of Article 7 of Chapter 3 of Title 12 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame Authority, so as to provide for rights of first refusal to repurchase certain property acquired for purposes of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Part 13 of Article 7 of Chapter 3 of Title 12 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame Authority, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows:
"12-3-585.1.
Neither the authority, the state, nor the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame Board created under Part 2 of Article 4 of Chapter 12 of Title 50 shall sell, give, loan, lease, rent, or transfer any interest in real property acquired for purposes of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame to any other entity or person, public or private, without first offering such property, together with any improvements thereon, for sale to the prior grantor or his or her heirs or assigns at the price paid for such property by the governmental grantee plus interest at the rate of 3 percent per year since the date of the prior grant. Any such offer to the prior grantor or his or her heirs or assigns shall be made in writing and shall provide a period of not less than six months to complete the purchase. Any transfer of property in violation of this Code section shall be without legal effect."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
