To
amend an Act to provide for the Board of Education of Forsyth County and to
consolidate and restate provisions of law relating to the board, approved March
25, 1992 (Ga. L. 1992, p. 5052), as amended, so as to increase the per diem
expense allowance allowable for the chairperson and members of such board; to
provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act to provide for the Board of Education of Forsyth County and to consolidate
and restate provisions of law relating to the board, approved March 25, 1992
(Ga. L. 1992, p. 5052), as amended, is amended by revising subsection (a) of
Section 5 as follows:
"(a)
In addition to amounts received as compensation, the chairperson and each member
of the Board of Education of Forsyth County shall receive a per diem expense
allowance of $75.00 for attendance at any official board function that has been
approved by the majority of the board at a regularly scheduled monthly board
meeting, up to a maximum of 96 days per year."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
