BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Code Section 20-2-210 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to annual performance evaluations, so as to require that the written annual
evaluation is signed by the evaluator and provided to the certificated person;
to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Code
Section 20-2-210 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to annual
performance evaluations, is amended by revising subsection (d) as
follows:
"(d)
The superintendent of each local school system shall identify an appropriately
trained evaluator for each person employed by the local unit of administration
for the purposes of completing
an
a
written annual evaluation as required in
subsections (a) and (b) of this Code section. The evaluator shall be required to
complete and
sign such annual evaluation
and provide it
to
for
each certificated person prior to April 1 of each year. The superintendent of
each local school system shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with this
Code section."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
