RESOLUTION
Commending
Mr. Royce Everett Collins; and for other purposes
WHEREAS,
Mr. Royce Everett Collins has been selected as Georgia Black Caucus Legislative
Staffer of the Year in recognition of his hard work, dedication, and eagerness
throughout the session; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Collins has served as the chief of staff for Representative Lester Jackson
since January, 2006; and
WHEREAS,
Chairman Al Williams has recognized Mr. Collins for his commitment, and the high
level of professionalism that Mr. Collins has displayed earned him this
prestigious title; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Collins actively takes part in the legislative process and has a specific
interest in the eradication of health disparities, specifically in the area of
health policy and its impact upon the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
this exceptional young man is a 2005 graduate of Hampton University and is
currently a graduate student at Morehouse School of Medicine, where he is
pursuing his Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health
Administration and Policy; and
WHEREAS,
it is a high honor to be chosen as Georgia Black Caucus Legislative Staffer of
the Year, a recognition reserved for the crème de la
crème.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Mr. Royce Everett Collins upon being named Georgia Black
Caucus Legislative Staffer of the Year, thank him for his service, and extend
their sincere best wishes for success in all of his future
endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Royce Everett Collins.
