RESOLUTION
Commending
June O'Neal; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
June O'Neal has faithfully worked in her capacity as executive director of the
Bibb County Mentors Project since 2000; and
WHEREAS,
June has helped countless teens get a better education in the Bibb County School
System while at the same time working hard to secure funding for the program,
which is not funded by the Bibb County Board of Education; and
WHEREAS,
this lady has endured hot sun and high heels at car washes to help raise funds
for the mentors projects and programs and always goes beyond the call of duty;
and
WHEREAS,
June has often driven her vehicle alone into rough neighborhoods in order to
save one child from being put out of school; she will not give up on any child;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. O'Neal has sacrificed a great deal of time and money helping at-risk teens
get a quality education and is considered a hero by many; and
WHEREAS,
June O'Neal has received numerous honors and awards for her humanitarian
efforts, including the Business and Professional Women's "State of Georgia Woman
of the Year."
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body hereby commend June O'Neal for her dedication to and sacrifices for
the causes in which she believes.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to June O'Neal.
