A
RESOLUTION
Commending
Dawn Faulkner; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dawn Faulkner is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification
of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected teacher has served with honor and distinction as a
professional educator at Rome High School; and
WHEREAS,
throughout her phenomenal career as a teacher, she has acted as an instrument of
inspiration to her pupils, creating a positive learning environment while
enhancing her students' abilities to analyze and reason; and
WHEREAS,
she is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual
classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received by the
children of this state; and
WHEREAS,
she encourages students to believe in themselves, to pursue every opportunity
for personal growth, to make a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their
lives, and to develop a love of learning which will be beneficial to them
throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS,
her talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of her fellow
teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her students; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her outstanding dedication to academic excellence, she was
selected by her school's STAR student as the 2007 Rome High School STAR
Teacher.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Dawn Faulkner for her sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of the young people of
this state and congratulate her upon her selection as the 2007 Rome High School
STAR Teacher.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dawn
Faulkner.
