A RESOLUTION


Congratulating New Hope International; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, New Hope International was founded originally in 1987 in Perry, Georgia, as King´s Chapel Church of God; and

WHEREAS, the seeds which were sown by the loving and humble efforts of those devout worshipers have blossomed into a landmark institution under the guiding hands and hearts of its pastors, especially Senior Pastor Bishop Jeff Poole; and

WHEREAS, the congregation has compiled an unparalleled record of constructive, compassionate, and humanitarian service and demonstrates daily through open minds, open hearts, and open doors that it seeks to tear down racial barriers and denominational walls; and

WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by this ministry as it continues to grow and lead people world-wide to experience the fullness of their ordained destiny in Jesus Christ is a source of strength, inspiration, and direction for persons of all walks of life and from all economic strata; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God´s message of peace and love be recognized for its innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need and congratulated upon its growth, which has resulted in a relocation of its worship facility to the Russell Parkway extension near I-75.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend New Hope International for its many decades of steadfast, unselfish, and loving service to the people of this state, congratulate the congregation upon the grand occasion of the new worship facility´s inaugural service on Sunday, April 1, 2007, and extend to them their best wishes for continued growth and service to the community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Senior Pastor Bishop Jeff Poole.
