RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Private First Class Christopher Allen Jones; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Private First Class Christopher Allen Jones has served his country with
outstanding dedication in the 10th Mountain Division of the United States Army;
and
WHEREAS,
Private Jones was born on March 10, 1983, and possesses the great personal
strength which is achieved through overcoming extraordinary challenges,
including his successful completion of the mentally and physically strenuous
United States Army Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
he is a member of the prestigious 10th Mountain Division, an airborne fighting
unit that specializes in rapid deployment and combat in some of the world's
harshest conditions; and
WHEREAS,
Private Jones has protected the interests of the United States in some of the
most dangerous areas of the world, and he has received the Army Commendation
Medal for his distinguished performance during a mission in Hindu Kush,
Afghanistan; and
WHEREAS,
Private Jones has the full support of his many friends, relatives, and fellow
members of the armed forces in Georgia and throughout the United States, and he
continues to protect and serve his country stationed at Camp Blessing in
Afghanistan; and
WHEREAS,
he has endured countless hardships in the name of duty over the course of his
training and service abroad, and it is fitting and proper that the members of
this body heartily salute Private First Class Christopher Allen
Jones.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize this inspiring individual, Private First Class Christopher
Allen Jones, commend him for his meritorious service to the United States of
America, express their deepest gratitude for his continued service abroad, and
extend to him their sincerest best wishes for his safety and future success.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Private First
Class Christopher Allen Jones.
