RESOLUTION
Commending
the Hancock County Class C boys basketball All Star Team; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Hancock County Class C boys basketball All Star Team is a committed,
dedicated group of young men who adhere to the principles of hard work,
determination, discipline, practice, and good sportsmanship; and
WHEREAS,
the All Star Team, coached by Hancock County Commissioner Adam Jackson, was
runner-up in the state finals held in Jackson County, Georgia, on March 3, 2007;
and
WHEREAS,
the members of this superlative All Star Team include Eric Barnes, Reggie
Battle, Ke'andre Burton, Brandon Edwards, Kaduan Edwards, Deonte Franklin,
Dontauious Lowe, Jailylon Lundy, Brian Marion, Keysone Mclin, Daryus Ransom,
Deuonta Reynolds, Jamal Scott, and Malik Smith; and
WHEREAS,
never in the history of Hancock County has an All Star Team reached such
heights, soaring over its competition; and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the All Star Team is a clear indication of the
outstanding athletic ability, dedication and hard work, and team spirit of each
player and the astute leadership provided by Adam Jackson; and
WHEREAS,
this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned its
well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality
of its play, and the stiff competition which it presented to its
opponents.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Hancock County Class C boys basketball All Star Team for
its inspiring achievements and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued
success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Commissioner
Adam Jackson and each member of the Hancock County Class C boys basketball All
Star Team.
