RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Amanda Kozak; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the beautiful, intelligent, and talented Amanda Kozak was crowned Miss Georgia
on June 24, 2006, and with great distinction honorably represented our state in
the prestigious Miss America pageant where she was selected as the second
runner-up; and
WHEREAS,
this extraordinary graduate of Valdosta State University attained a degree in
childhood education and is an active mentor with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters
Organization; and
WHEREAS,
by her many achievements, grace, and poise, Amanda has brought credit to her
parents and to her community and state, and all Georgians are proud of young
women who, like Amanda, represent the very best that this state has to offer;
and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
citizens of her community have earned her the respect and admiration of her
colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that Amanda Kozak is
congratulated upon her selection as the second runner-up in the Miss America
pageant and her crowning as Miss Georgia 2006 and extended the most sincere best
wishes for continued health and happiness.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Amanda Kozak.
