RESOLUTION
Recognizing
the Georgia Great Steak Cook-off as a Georgia State Steak Cook-off Championship
competition; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the 2007 Georgia Great Steak Cook-off, sponsored by the Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis
County Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the beautiful Jeff Davis County
fairgrounds; and
WHEREAS,
the 2007 Georgia Great Steak Cook-off is scheduled on Saturday, March 3, 2007,
and in addition to wonderful steak, it will host a wealth of family activities;
and
WHEREAS,
judges will be awarding cash prizes for the best cooked steak and prizes for
showmanship grilling and rig construction; and
WHEREAS,
Georgians are noted for their love of steak, and the cooks of the Georgia Great
Steak Cook-off have accepted the challenge to provide superior cuisine,
satisfying the most discriminating of palates.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the Georgia
Great Steak Cook-off is hereby recognized as a Georgia State Steak Cook-off
Championship competition.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the
Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Chamber of Commerce.
