RESOLUTION
Expressing
regret and condolences on the passing of Dr. James Clarence Mosley, Jr.; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia lost one of its most estimable citizens with the passing of
Dr. James Clarence Mosley, Jr., on January 28, 2007; and
WHEREAS,
he was born February 14, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of James C.
Mosley, Sr., and Jimmie Lee Fanroy Mosley, and graduated from Indiana Academy in
Cicero, Indiana; and
WHEREAS,
a highly motivated and intelligent young man, he attended Oakwood College in
Huntsville, Alabama, where he received his Bachelor of Science in biology in
1973 and graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington,
Minnesota, in 1984; and
WHEREAS,
he founded Mosley Clinic of Chiropractic in Columbus, Georgia, in 1987, received
his diploma in orthopaedics in 1993, and saw thousands of patients in more than
20 years of practice; and
WHEREAS,
he was the first African American chiropractor in Columbus, Georgia, and the
former president of the American Black Chiropractic Association; and he
generously lent his wisdom, courage, and inspiring leadership ability above and
beyond the call of his profession; and
WHEREAS,
he served as co-host of a television program in Atlanta called
Issues and
Answers, spending his time educating the
citizens of Georgia about important issues; and
WHEREAS,
the passing of this generous, kind, and devoted family man leaves an unfillable
void in the hearts and lives of his family and friends;
and
WHEREAS, all of Georgia has been blessed and enriched by the life of Dr. James Clarence Mosley, Jr., and it is fitting for the House of Representatives to express regrets at his passing and extend condolences to this family.

NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join together to express their deepest regret at the passing of Dr.
James Clarence Mosley, Jr., and extend their most sincere condolences to his
family.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Dr. James Clarence Mosley, Jr.
