RESOLUTION
Commending
Bishop C. L. Carter, Sr., and First Lady Deborah V. Carter; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Bishop C. L. Carter, Sr., and First Lady Deborah V. Carter were called to serve
as pastor and first lady, respectively, of First Missionary Baptist Church for
the Atlanta community; and
WHEREAS,
whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the sick, or counseling the
troubled, the Carters have shown the energy, devotion, and commitment truly
reflective of divine guidance; and
WHEREAS,
the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by the Carters is a source of
strength, inspiration, and direction for persons in all walks of life and from
all economic strata; and
WHEREAS,
their many years of superlative service at First Missionary Baptist Church was
recognized recently on the occasion of the 25th Founders Celebration, and it is
abundantly fitting and proper to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of
the dynamic dual ministry of these devout and pious individuals.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Bishop C. L. Carter, Sr., and First Lady Deborah V. Carter for
their unparalleled record of community service and their innumerable good works
rendered on behalf of persons in need, and extend to them their most sincere
best wishes for continued health and happiness as they serve God´s
will.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Bishop C. L.
Carter, Sr., and First Lady Deborah V. Carter.
