A RESOLUTION


Commending Ryan Scott Davis on the occasion of his eighteenth birthday; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ryan is a student of unusual dedication as demonstrated by his outstanding 4.22 GPA and his recent acceptance to Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, where he plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in construction management; and

WHEREAS, he is a highly motivated young individual, having conducted internships at Moore Bass Engineering during the summer of 2005 and at Killearn Properties in 2006; and

WHEREAS, he is a phenomenally dedicated member of his family who makes an extra effort to watch over his younger sisters Kelli and Ashli; and

WHEREAS, as Junior Campaign Manager, Ryan played an indispensable part in his father's election to the General Assembly by admirably taking on critical leadership roles in the campaign; and

WHEREAS, Ryan participated in a variety of volunteer activities over the years, including the Festival of Trees, Operation Christmas Child, Heritage Senior Citizen Community Center, and ushering at Union Grove Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Ryan is an excellent cook, loves to play golf, and is an avid sports lover whose past involvements have included baseball, football, basketball, and tennis; and

WHEREAS, Representative Steve Davis and his wife Melissa would like to honor their son Ryan Scott Davis on his 18th birthday for his many accomplishments and successes, and they would like him to know they love him and wish him the very best as he ventures into adulthood.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body recognizes Ryan Scott Davis for his loving service to the members of his family and congratulates him on the occasion of his eighteenth birthday.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ryan Scott Davis.
