RESOLUTION
Celebrating
the life of Charles Henry "Chick" Almon; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Charles Henry "Chick" Almon opened Almon Funeral Home in 1950; and
WHEREAS,
he served his country in World War II and for 50 years served the many families
in the City of Carrollton and the West Georgia area until his passing in 2000;
and
WHEREAS,
in addition to his service in the funeral home business, he made innumerable and
immeasurable contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS,
Almon Funeral Home continues to serve the City of Carrollton and the West
Georgia area from its location on Newnan Street; and
WHEREAS,
it is only fitting and proper that his life of service to his community is
recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body offer their sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Charles
Henry "Chick" Almon on his passing.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Charles Henry "Chick" Almon.
