RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mrs. Ollie Hill Glover on the occasion of her 97th birthday; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
during the course of her remarkable life, Mrs. Ollie Hill Glover has touched
countless lives with her generous and loving spirit and her courage,
selflessness, and service to others; and
WHEREAS,
she was born on April 5, 1911, the only survivor of nine children, to the late
Horace and Ida Hill; and
WHEREAS,
she was the loving wife of Allen Glover for 52 years, and this union produced
nine children; and
WHEREAS,
she is an honest and dedicated woman who strives for excellence in all her
endeavors, as evidenced dramatically by her lifetime of service to Griffin Gift
Baptist Church in Twiggs County, where she has been a faithful member for 87
years; and
WHEREAS,
as a member of Griffin Gift Baptist Church, she has served faithfully as an
usher, member of the senior choir, secretary of the church for 63 years, and a
member of the Golden Girls; and
WHEREAS,
she belongs to the Zion Chapter #88 OES in Jeffersonville, Georgia, where she
served as a worthy matron for 42 years; and
WHEREAS,
this beloved, godly woman has exhibited extraordinary devotion to duty,
outstanding loyalty, fine leadership, and meticulous attention to detail in all
her duties; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and
kindness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join together in recognizing and commending Mrs. Ollie Hill Glover on the occasion of her 97th birthday.
