RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and congratulating the Tattnall Square Academy football team, 2006 Class AAA
State Champtions; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Tattnall Square Academy football team has established and maintained a proud
tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics;
and
WHEREAS,
this superlative team has completed another exceptional season of football
competition by posting a 12-1 record; and
WHEREAS,
the Trojans soared through the state playoffs and, as a fitting finale to their
remarkable 2006 campaign, captured the Georgia Independent School Association
Class AAA State Football Championship;
and
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, and hard work of each team member and of the astute direction of Head Coach Barney Hester and Assistant Coaches Dwight Danuser, Jarrett Moore, Jeff Ratliff, Tyler VanDusen, John Hankinson, Paul Brooks, Rhett Farmer, and Butch Bryan; and
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, and hard work of each team member and of the astute direction of Head Coach Barney Hester and Assistant Coaches Dwight Danuser, Jarrett Moore, Jeff Ratliff, Tyler VanDusen, John Hankinson, Paul Brooks, Rhett Farmer, and Butch Bryan; and
WHEREAS,
this magnificent team was also led to victory by team captains Jimmy Intorica,
Brett Layson, and Cayleb Vinson; and
WHEREAS,
the Tattnall Square Academy All State players for 2006 were Taylor Beitler,
Jimmy Intorica, Brett Layson, Kyle Miller, Blake Patterson, and Chris
Wood.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Tattnall Square Academy football team for its unparalleled
athletic achievement and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued
success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Head Coach
Barney Hester.
