A RESOLUTION


Congratulating Dr. Michael Guido on the occasion of his 92nd birthday and recognizing the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Guido Evangelistic Association; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, evangelist Dr. Michael Guido of Metter, Georgia, 1935 graduate of Moody Bible Institute, founded the Guido Evangelistic Association in 1957; and

WHEREAS, Michael Guido was born in Lorain, Ohio, on January 30, 1915, and has conducted a long life of service to the Lord, reaching millions through his lectures, books, and electronic ministries; and

WHEREAS, he met his wife, Audrey, while conducting a meeting in Metter, and the couple married in 1943, working together at the Moody Bible Institute until they incorporated the Guido Evangelistic Association; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Guido´s devotional column appears in more than 1,500 newspapers worldwide and is published in both English and Spanish; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Guido´s broadcasts are heard on over 400 radio stations, and his telecast is seen across the globe in over 200 million homes and on the U.S. Armed Forces Radio and Television Network; and

WHEREAS, the Guido Evangelistic Association also publishes "Seeds from the Sower" in free booklets and provides missionaries, ministers, and lay people with audio cassettes and compact discs through a free lending library.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Dr. Michael Guido for 50 years of ministry with the Guido Evangelistic Association and congratulate him on the occasion of his 92nd birthday.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. Michael Guido.
