A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT


To amend Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to state license requirements and regulations for the manufacture, distribution, and sale of malt beverages, so as to change the provisions relating to free tasting of malt beverages during educational and promotional brewery tours; to provide for the provision and service of food in connection with such educational and promotional brewery tours and free tasting of malt beverages; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to state license requirements and regulations for the manufacture, distribution, and sale of malt beverages, is amended by revising Code Section 3-5-38, relating to permits for free tasting of malt beverages during educational and promotional brewery tours, as follows:
"3-5-38.
The commissioner shall, upon proper application therefor, issue an annual permit to any brewer licensed in this state authorizing such brewer to conduct educational and promotional brewery tours which may include free tasting on the premises by members of the public of tax paid varieties of malt beverages brewed by such brewer. Food may be provided by the brewery at no charge during such educational or promotional tours. Tour attendees may bring or arrange for the provision of food during such educational or promotional tours."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
