BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Chapter 9 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to pardons and paroles, so as to repeal the "Uniform Act for Out-of-State
Parolee Supervision," which was replaced by "The Interstate Compact for Adult
Offender Supervision" that has become binding in this state; to provide for
related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws;
and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Chapter
9 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to pardons and
paroles, is amended by repealing Article 3, relating to the "Uniform Act for
Out-of-State Parolee Supervision" and designating said article as
reserved.
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
