Shafer of the 48th offered the following amendment:
Amend
amendment # 1 to the Senate committee substitute to HB 1299 by striking lines 7
through 10 and inserting the following:
“No
public hospital as defined by Code Section 31-7-75.3 (a) (6) shall authorize or
permit the performance of an abortion procedure in violation of federal or state
law or that is not covered for reimbursement by
Medicaid.”
