Smith of the 52nd, Harp of the 29th and Tarver of the 22nd offered the following
amendment:
Amend
the Senate Natural Resources and the Environment Committee substitute to HB 1226
by adding at the end of line 15 of page 2 the following:
No
application made on or after July 1, 2008, for a permit for a new public water
supply reservoir shall be granted until an applicable regional water plan
encompassing the location of such reservoir has been completed pursuant to
Article 8 of this chapter and the Environmental Protection Division of the
department determines that such proposed reservoir is in accordance with such
regional plan.
