BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Article 4 of Chapter 8 of Title 50 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to metropolitan area planning and development commissions, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows:
"50-8-100.1.

If such a resolution is affirmatively defeated by majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, then such plan shall not be pursued, and no action shall be taken in furtherance of such plan."
