Amend
HB 1041 (LC 33 2284S) by striking lines 27 and 28 of page 2 and inserting in
lieu thereof the following:

Have graduated from a nursing education
program,
approved by
this

board,
or which meets criteria similar to, and not less stringent than, those
established by
this

board;
By
striking lines 8 through 10 of page 3 and inserting in lieu thereof the
following:

Have passed a board recognized licensing examination following graduation from
the

nursing education program
approved by
the board or which meets criteria similar to, and not less stringent than, those
established by the board;
By
striking lines 28 through 31 of page 3 and inserting in lieu thereof the
following:

Have practiced nursing as a registered professional nurse for a period of time
as determined by the board or have graduated from a nursing education program
approved by
the board or which meets criteria similar to, and not less stringent than, those
established by the board within the four
years immediately preceding the date of the application;
