A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 48-8-3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to sales and use tax exemptions, so as to provide for an exemption with respect to sales of personal property to or used in the construction of homes for persons of limited income by a nonprofit organization that is exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and that works in partnership with people from all walks of life to build or renovate simple, decent, affordable houses for people in need of adequate shelter; to provide for conditions and limitations; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
