ATLANTA—Georgia State Representatives Michele Henson (D-Stone Mountain), Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates), and Stephanie Benfield (D-Atlanta) will hold a community forum on water issues on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at 9:00 AM, at the Clarkston Campus of Georgia Perimeter College in the Jim Cherry Learning Resource Center Auditorium.
The forum will focus on Georgia’s ongoing drought and efforts to conserve water. Carol Couch, Director of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, will be the main speaker. Other water experts will also be present.
Representative Drenner will discuss her efforts to re-introduce a measure that will tighten water flow requirements for toilets, shower heads, and faucets installed in commercial and residential buildings.
