State Representative Vance Smith ( R-Pine Mountain) represents the 129th District in the Georgia House of Representatives. Rep. Smith is the Chairman of the House Transportation Committee. Rep. Smith has served in the Georgia House for twelve years, and is entering his seventh term. He is also a member of the Appropriations, Economic Development & Tourism, and the Rules Committees.

As a graduate of Columbus State University, Rep. Smith has spent thirty years in the construction and earth moving business. Rep. Smith brings both a private business and public experience to a very important committee for the traffic and infrastructure needs of Georgia and its residents. Rep. Smith and his family live in Pine Mountain. He hopes to expand the vision of transportation and infrastructure needs to not only the Metro Atlanta region, but to his rural home and all of Georgia.
