ALLEN PEAKE TO SERVE AS CO-CHAIR OF WAYS AND MEANS SUBCOMMITTEE ON TAX REFORM

 ATLANTA—Chairman of the Ways & Means Committee Larrry O'Neal (R-Bonaire) announced today that Georgia State Representative Allen Peake (R-Macon) will serve as Co-Chair of the House Ways & Means Committee Tax Reform Subcommittee.

“Tax reform is a big issue this session and the task of reviewing all the different pieces of legislation introduced by our members is extremely important,” Peake said.  “I share the Speaker’s desire to bring meaningful tax reform to the citizens of Georgia and I look forward to working with my colleagues on this subcommittee to make that happen.”

Peake joined the House in 2007.  He currently serves as a Deputy Whip in the House Republican Caucus and a member of the House Committees on Banks & Banking, Children & Youth, Health & Human Services, and Ways & Means.
