Freshman Representative Jay Neal is certainly keeping himself busy in his first term of office, making sure that the voices of the constituents of District 1 are heard. He currently is representing parts of Walker and Catoosa Counties. Neal is presently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Public Safety Committee, and extended his service through membership on the Economic Development & Tourism, Children & Youth Services and Natural Resources & Environment Committees.

Representative Neal also takes an active interest in the local happenings of his community. He is very much involved in the Walker County Chamber of Commerce, A+ Women’s Care, the Lookout Mountain Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Yobel House. Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Neal went on to attend and graduate from Emannuel Theological Seminary where he earned a B.A. He is currently employed as a Minister at the Gordon Lake Wesleyan Church. He and his wife Gretchen have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Jessica and Brittney.
