SPEAKER APPOINTS REPRESENTATIVE ROGER LANE
TO THE JOINT WATER DESALINATION STUDY COMMITTEE

ATLANTA—Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) has tapped State Representative Roger Lane to serve on the Joint Water Desalination Study Committee.
 
“I am pleased that Representative Lane has accepted this responsibility,” Richardson said.  “I am confident that he will do a great job for our state.”

The Joint Comprehensive Water Desalination Study Committee shall undertake a study of the conditions, needs, issues and problems associated with desalination of water and related issues, and recommend any action or legislation the committee deems necessary or appropriate.  The committee shall make a report of its findings with suggestions for proposed legislation, if any, on or before December 1, 2006.
