Representative David Knight is currently serving his first term as a member of the Georgia General Assembly. Knight is proudly serving parts of Spalding, Butts and Lamar Counties for House District 126. His legislative duties currently include service to the memberships of the Higher Education and Games, Fish & Parks Committees. He serves as the Secretary for the Banks & Banking Committee as well.

Originally hailing from Warner Robbins, the freshman representative attended both the University of Georgia and Augusta College, earning a degree in Accounting. He is quite active in his community. The devout Baptist is a member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin. He also holds membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Griffin Rotary and the American Red Cross.

The avid hunter is active in the Towaliga Chapter of Quail Unlimited and enjoys golf, sporting clays and fishing as well. Representative Knight is happily married to Marie Harvey from Lamar County.
