DARRYL JORDAN & CLAYTON COUNTY DELEGATION HOLD HEARING TO EXPLORE THE NEED FOR AN ETHICS POLICY FOR THE CLAYTON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

ATLANTA—Georgia State Representative Darryl Jordan (D-Riverdale) announced today that he and his colleagues in the Clayton County legislative delegation will hold a hearing tomorrow, January 24, 2008, at 1:30 pm in room 605 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building.  The purpose of the meeting is to explore the need for statutory ethics policy to govern the actions of the members of the Clayton County Board of Education.

“It is time for the school board to focus their efforts on improving the learning environment in Clayton County schools so that teachers can focus on educating our children,” Jordon said. 

Members of the media are invited to attend the meeting.
