Representative Tom Graves

HD 12 (R - Ranger)

State House member Tom Graves represents District 12, which consists of Pickens County and the parts of Gordon County and Bartow County. As a member of the Georgia General Assembly, Representative Graves quickly established a reputation of applying conservative principles to solve the problems that Georgians face on a daily basis.

Currently serving his third term in the Georgia House of Representatives, Tom Graves is certainly keeping himself busy. Representative Graves currently serves on the Transportation, Ways & Means, Children & Youth, and Health & Human Services Committees.

Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, Representative Graves spent his early years in White, Georgia where he graduated from Cass High School. He later went on to attend and graduate from the University of Georgia, where he earned a B.B.A., specializing in Finance. He is a past member of the Gordon County Board of Elections and an active member of the Chamber of Commerce. Graves is an active member of the American Legislative Exchange Council Transportation. He is also a Coverdell Leadership Institute Graduate.

The legislator is married to Julie Howard Graves, a native of Marietta. The couple has three children, JoAnn, John, and Janey. They attend the Belmont Baptist Church in Calhoun. When he is not busy with his legislative duties under the Gold Dome, he enjoys redeveloping and revitalizing underperforming properties.
